Rev. Daniel Johnson

Rev. Daniel Johnson works with the Siberian Evangelical Lutheran Church (SELC) and other partner churches in Eurasia. His ministry in this region began in 2012, when he was deployed by the LCMS Office of International Mission (OIM) to serve as catechist to Eurasia while based in Germany. In 2016, Rev. Johnson was transferred from OIM to serve as area representative for LCMS Church Relations. During this time he traveled extensively throughout Eurasia, representing the President’s Office at official functions, attending meetings and seminars, and providing catechetical and theological education. His assignment ended in 2017.

Rev. Johnson currently serves as President of the Siberian Lutheran Mission Society (SLMS), an organization he helped found in 2002. The SLMS is a 501(c)(3) organization and a RSO of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, dedicated to assisting our Lutheran brothers and sisters in Siberia. Rev. Johnson also serves as Mission Advisor to the bishop of the SELC. He currently lives in Marshalltown, Iowa with his wife, Amy.
