Worship Conference

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Topeka, KS, will host its tenth annual Worship Conference on Saturday, August 29, at 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. This conference provides continuing education and conversation for pastors, church musicians, and congregation members interested in the song and worship of the Church.

The keynote speaker for this year’s conference is Rev. Timothy Frank, who is the associate pastor and kantor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Pastor Frank received a bachelor’s degree in church music from Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, MN in 2007. In 2011 he graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN and began the same year as pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charter Oak, IA, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Charter Oak, IA, and St. Luke Lutheran Church, Ricketts, IA. While serving at the Triple Parish, he completed a master’s degree in church music from Concordia University Wisconsin (2014). Pastor Frank was installed as associate pastor at St. Paul’s in 2016. In addition to serving as associate pastor, he serves as kantor at St. Paul’s, administrator and teacher at St. Paul’s Music Conservatory. He recently served as resource director for David’s Harp.
