Ways to Serve

“God doesn’t need your good works, but your neighbor does.”

This statement (maybe uttered by Martin Luther, maybe not) captures the spirit of the Lutheran doctrine of vocation. God calls each one of us to serve our neighbor with the gifts we’ve been given, using our time, talents, and treasures to build up the body of Christ.

The pages in this area highlight the many ways you can serve your neighbor at St. John’s and beyond. If you see something that interests you and would like more information, contact the church office.

Service Opportunities

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. (1 Peter 4:10)
