150th Anniversary

By the Lord’s blessing, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church celebrated its 150th anniversary on September 13, 2024. Over a year of planning and hard work culminated in a wonderful celebration of this event on Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15. To God be the glory!

The banquet speaker was Rev. Peter Lange, the First Vice-President of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, and a former senior Pastor of St. John’s. He also preached the next day at the Worship service. Another former senior pastor participated in the banquet, Rev. Dr. Jon Bruss, the President of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne.

The Organ recital in the afternoon featured Dr. Jonathan Rudy as organist, Sue Revelle as the soloist, and Dave Bartels on trumpet.
